Ant Studio and Design x Design launches an online design competition
New Delhi-based Ant Studio and Design x Design has launched an International Online Design competition titled ‘Mobitecture: Habitat on the Move’, which focuses on collaborating with different creative communities in India. The competition aims to propose deployable residential modules and cater to immediate requisites of the environment, thus imbibing a sustainability approach. A final round of late registrations will be extended till the 15th of December, 2020, and individuals or groups of three are invited to participate. The design brief, regulations, fee structure, schedule, and terms are available on the website in PDF format.
The jury includes a panel of designers such as James Law, James Law Cybertecture; Janet Salem, UNEP; Alireza Taghaboni, Studio Next; Iftikar Mulk Chishti, Studio IF; and Monish Siripurapu, Ant Studio. The results will be published on 15th January 2020; the exhibition shall take place from 30th January to 15th February 2020.
The winner will receive a cash prize of INR 1,00,000; the first runner-up will receive INR 60,000 and the second runner-up receive INR 40,000. The awardees shall receive a certificate from Design x Design and Ant Studio, and the work of seven honorable designs will be published on the website.
