Beige and brown color palette for lobby of Movie Tower

Mumbai-based Baxi Architects has designed the Lobby of Movie Tower, a lobby spread over 700 sq. ft. The client brief was to design a welcoming entrance for residents and guests as they take the stairs or wait for the elevator. Apart from its functionality, the firm has focused on aesthetics, security, wall treatments, easy maintenance, and ample natural and artificial light.

One enters through two large glass doors, flanked with plants on both sides. A combination of beige and dark brown make up the color palette, which is further accentuated by golden lighting. Light and dark-brown Emperador tiles are used for the flooring and walls for an Italian-inspired finish. An anti-skid coating is applied to the flooring as a safety measure. Laser-cut MDF panels in a decorative pattern lend a modern and elegant look on the ceiling. In all, minimal design and material mix keep the project simple and easy-to maintenance.
