Curved lines for Surat home

Surat-based Krutam Design Studio has designed Labham, which is a residential project spread over 4190 sq. ft. Conceived for a family of five, the façade has linear cutouts to maintain an interrupted inflow of daylight and ventilation to the sheltered entrance. This leads to the living room, which is spacious with white and grey tones. Smooth curved lines maintain positivity and functionality, yet add surprise and quirkiness.
The adjoining kitchen is divided by a partition and has a black granite and wood dining table. Stark rectilinear designs are balanced with softer curves and are illuminated with a suspended spiral light. The open-plan bedroom imbibes softness and playfulness through pastel colours and softens the impact of brighter shades used elsewhere.
