French-inspired mood for New Delhi home

New Delhi-based Rosabagh has designed the Chattarpur Mansion, which is an uber-luxury residence spread over 12,000 sq. ft. Palatial influences and motifs are used resembling a French villa, and the mansion features a fusion of heritage carvings and roses embossed in teak and oakwood. Customised wall panels hand-painted by artisans are lit by chandeliers, reflecting modern and Renaissance tastes.

A seating arrangement in muted green, gold and brown welcomes the visitor to the lobby with a 20-ft. ceiling. Armchairs with high ornate rectangular mirrors are set, which are covered in gold leafing and sculpted with motifs of the gryphon. The drawing room has a bespoke 16-legged centre table, along with an art deco fireplace, a dining area and a bar. The master bedroom features royal beige and cream, along with maroon seating.

The stairway leads up to the daughter’s bedroom on the first floor, which is completely done in powder pink. On the other hand, the son’s bedroom features blue and black with champagne and gold leafing details and artwork.
