Natural material palette for Bengaluru convention hall

Bengaluru-based architecture and design firm Wright Inspired has designed M SIRI Celebration Venue. The client brief was to design an elegant structure for multi-faceted gatherings such as weddings, concerts, art exhibitions and professional meetings. Temples were a source of inspiration for the project, as it was a congregational space since times immemorial for social interactions, cultural performances and exchange of ideas.

The front façade features impactful lighting, pathways and greenery spots. One enters through a low and flat staircase leading up to the rooms for easy accessibility. The main hall is done up with in a brown-and-deep-brown palette, while the dining hall has a colonnaded green spot. There are rows of long dining tables with low steel stools and a false ceiling. Rows of long dining tables are complemented with low steel stools and a false ceiling. There is a hangout area for people to relax, which resembles the iconic Stonehenge heritage site.

Bright interiors along with the use of natural materials add an impactful effect to the project. Terracotta stones have been used for a faster construction process, while Jaisalmer and Kota stone is used for retaining walls. Aluminum sheets have been used for its light weight and colours, while wooden floors bring in traditional warmth to the space.
