Peaceful and warm shades for Gurugram apartment

Photography: Shades Studio Photography

New Delhi-based Arckala Design Studio has designed the Subtle Nuance in Gurugram, a 3BHK apartment spread across 1200 sq. ft. the middle-aged client wanted a warm and peaceful home for themselves, their daughter and a pet dog. Located at DLF The Ultima, the site is surrounded by lush greenery and natural light. Warm neutral colours with varied textures demarcate the spaces, and the inhabitants enter the living room through the foyer.

The living room features a beige three-seater sofa and armchair seating, which highlights the huge canvas paintings and décor pieces. Following to the dining table, one finds a wooden dining table with a marble top illuminated by a chandelier. The walls are treated with fluted wooden panelling, textured wallpaper and tinted mirrors that add sheen. One of the wooden panels convert into the mandir’s shutters, and the bar and crockery unit displays additional storage and counterspace as well.

The master bedroom features deep teal, morning glory white and golden finishes in the side tables, consoles and floor lamps. On the contrary, the daughter’s room has a vintage, earthy and feminine ambience with delicate carvings, beige walls and a distressed paint appearance on the furniture. Coming to the guest room, it has grey shades that visually expand the space along with a small study.
