Richard Cameron joins Design21 as the Associate Principal Designer

Gurugram-based Design 21 welcomes Ar. Richard Cameron as the Associates Principal Designer, alongside Ar. Nikita Pathak, Ar. Gaurav Pathak and Ar. Amit Gulati. Established in 2013, Design 21 has offices in the United States and Holland. Ar. Cameron brings in his expertise in classical architecture and is a renowned architect from New York. He is the co-founder of the Institute of Classical Architecture and Art and The Beaux-Art Atelier, which is an educational platform for teaching architecture as fine arts. He spearheads the initiative to rebuild the Penn Station in New York City, originally built by McKim Mead and White.

Ar. Cameron has received The Arthur Ross Board of Director Honour Award from the ICA&A in 2013 for his contribution to architectural education. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the University of Toronto and a Master’s degree in Architecture from Princeton University, and his work has appeared in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and other publications. He has appeared on The Brian Lehrer Show and Metro Focus with Raphael Pi Roman, due to the Penn Station rehabilitation initiative. Design 21 works with residential, institutional, leisure and commercial along with Cameron’s expertise in classical architecture.

Apart from this, Design 21 educated architects and students on green design, trends and construction advantages. They have founded LifeDraft that builds biological and physically societies and educates the future generation on similar subjects, along with holding seminars on energy and environmentally-sensitive architectural practices and design.
