Traditional European design for Chandigarh complex
Chandigarh-based The Design Studio has designed the Address Boulevard, a multi-storeyed building. The structure comprises thirty-two floors, three wings (hotel, studio, office spaces and a banquet hall), three-level retail and five-floor parking. An unconventional approach that included the shopfront detailing, lighting canopies and other elements is chosen, reminiscent of a traditional European shopping district.
Other features include spaces for shopping, sports, leisure, community and urban markets. Three buildings from the eighth floor onward create a monotonous form of offices, shops and a five-star hotel building. It is commonly designed for both leisure and business travel, as it is accessible to the city infrastructure and tourist destinations.
