Wellness-inspired system for Gurgaon office

New Delhi-based AVA Design Studio has designed the CBRE Office in Gurgaon, which was to create a simple and connective agile workspace.

The project is spread over 50,000 sq. ft. across two floors. Meeting rooms are allocated towards the center with workstations along the glazing within an enclosed square, glass floorplate, ensuring open views from the window. A neutral color-palette has been chosen for the workstations with warm tones of salmon, beige, olive, and green used in the screens, while coffee-toned acoustic paint covers the otherwise bare ceilings.

Coffee points are placed at opposite corners of the square floor plate en route to the stairs, while collaboration bays along the windows encourage dialogue and interaction. Wall visuals and quirky elements such as a quadricycle allows a ‘pedal and walk’ experience. Green walls, ideation pods, and a café with signature ceiling lights add to the expansive ambience.

Human-centric lighting complements circadian body rhythms for efficiency, along with a patented project inspection and mapping system. A focus to wellness and well-being certifications sees sensors that regulate indoor air quality and VAV systems to locally control the centralized air-conditioning. LEED-certified carpets made of sustainable yarn, LEED-certified lights with CRI index and reduced glare, ergonomic and BIFMA-certified chairs, and height-adjustable workstations are also used.
