Decorate your homes with earthy-toned marble

Today, luxury marble retailers invest in earthy or natural colors to preserve diversity and heritage. More importantly, such accents in one’s decor also depict the contemporary issues in modern times, which are environmentalism and sustainability. Be it the revival efforts of near-to-nature craftwork or green thinking, trends in marble designs incorporate contemporary style as well.

The Green Architecture Movement, which began in the 1970s, is now one of the leading influences in reminding the need for biophilic design fusion. It blends design with natural elements such as planters and water features, and related marble designs include earthy greys, whites, and light pink. These shades are suitable for walls and flooring, imbibe a nature-inspired theme, and add a warm touch to the space. Top choices are White Carrara Marble, Calacatta Marble, and Green marble such as Irish Green, Emerald Quartzite, and Jadore Crystal.

Comfort is a top priority of the contemporary generation that is vocal about work-life balance. Capturing this millennial concern stands Hygge, which embodies coziness, luxury, and minimalism. Given that earthy tones soothe the eyes and mind, they form a perfect combination with Hygge-style decor. Also, the calming effect of the natural tones of the marble goes well with warm lighting. Top choices are Crema Perfecta Marble, Cappuccino Marble, Emperador Marble, Castano Brown, and Giallo Imperiale.

As a strong rebellion against the machinist thinking after the Industrial Revolution, Art Nouveau stood for going back to nature. As a result, the style features elegant curves that contrast the mechanical nature of the 19th-century industrial boom. Art Nouveau showcases ornate floral designs and warm lighting balancing luxury and comfort in contemporary decor. The marble here is used for flooring, wall cladding, sculptures and art pieces, and furniture. Golden Tempest, Roma Imperiale, and Equator White are some of the most popular choices.
