Penthouse In Magdalena, Mexico Taller David Dana, Mexico Design brief and aim To provide an identity and character to the house, where the elements are related both in functionality and aesthetics. How this was accomplished The concept integrates allusive elements of Mexican culture, contrasting with high degree details and contemporary accents. Semi-private spaces constitute the living room, dining room, terrace and kitchen areas while the terrace and the large window accompanying the living room evoke a sense of spaciousness in the user.
Adequate distribution of all design elements creates a visual composition, which preserves homogeneity and harmony in reference to materials and decoration. The contrast of warm and dark colors optimizes lighting in the space while creating a comfortable atmosphere. The lines in the finish and furniture give a visual continuity to the project, in addition to subtle textures. How green was my project The environment has adequate natural lighting with views to the exterior. Happily ever after The space creates a harmonious and aesthetic character capable of generating different sensations in the user.
