“We have been trying to make the best of the situation, by growing together as a fraternity through webinars and creative campaigns. It is difficult to adjust to life wearing a mask, but we should take it one day at a time and be positive and productive.”

The COVID-19 pandemic has adversely affected the architecture and design industry and has resulted in a delay in ongoing and future projects. No sourcing of materials, no physical inspection, and missed project deadlines in many cases have incurred huge losses. Today, we share the insights of Des. Archana Baid, Principal Designer, And Design Co., Mumbai.

“On-site work has been affected due to the absence of material and labor movement, which construes into zero progress work. On the other hand, the hiatus has proved to be a great learning opportunity to reflect, learn, and improvise. Rupesh (my husband) and I have been encouraging the in-house 2-D and 3-D teams to explore new design software and techniques. We have ideated a few projects together, and have had online meetings with the team. Though such meet-ups haven’t been engaging, we have adopted new ways to work collaboratively.”
