The COVID-19 pandemic has adversely affected the architecture and design industry and has resulted in a delay in ongoing and future projects. No sourcing of materials, no physical inspection, and missed project deadlines in many cases have incurred huge losses. Today, we share the insights of Des. “All of us are facing economic challenges due to a lack of money circulation and limited funds. As for the architecture and design industry, development and expansion plans have been put on hold. Amidst such negativity, it has been a challenge to boost the enthusiasm of our team and maintain the quality of our deliverables. Another challenge was to approach clients and support each other while maintaining our creativity.”

Apart from uninterrupted internet connectivity, we took some time to maintain the balance between professional and personal life at home. Individual performance is greatly monitored by the current work scenario. Though we cannot achieve all of our targets due to the shutdown, we ensure that our team can upskill themselves creativity that would be helpful for their future development. Apart from perfecting their design development skills, they can study and read online, and spread positive vibes in the community.”

We have been thinking about individualistic design approaches instead of teamwork at the moment. Though we have been blessed with virtual communication sources, there is a great deal of lag and time for processing. However, brainstorming is more efficient with physical interaction over virtual meetings.
