The COVID-19 pandemic has adversely affected the architecture and design industry and has resulted in a delay in ongoing and future projects. No sourcing of materials, no physical inspection, and missed project deadlines in many cases have incurred huge losses. Today, we share the insights of Ar. Arbaysis and Pooja Ashley, Founders, Ashleys, Mumbai.

“Execution work has been halted at project sites due to the lockdown period; however, we are utilizing this period by designing our new projects in advance. Thus, we can kickstart our execution as soon as the lockdown ends. Thanks to our adept team, we can efficiently synchronize and participate in our work. Our work is visual and collaborative and requires constant interaction and communication. We have successfully achieved this by using several collaborative tools that technology offers today. Constant communication is important to maintain a well-knit community, similar to an office environment.”

“Work progress is stagnant for projects that were to be executed, which has delayed their deadlines. This has proved to be a critical problem for commercial and real estate projects, thus it’s essential to streamline all the works to get the projects rolling once the lockdown opens.”
