Centrally-located bar for Noida gastropub

New Delhi-based architecture and design firm Chromed Design Studio has designed the Sutra Gastropub in Noida. Spread over 19,000 sq ft and located on a standalone property, the client brief was to create a speakeasy cocktail bar and restaurant that blended the gap between the millennial generation and traditional dining styles. An eclectic mix of various styles, the design was heavily inspired by the travels of the fictional explorer, Mariposa Jose.
The façade of the gastropub lends the appearance of a heritage building with an old-world charm, with a brick chimney to further accentuate the description. A grand stone staircase guides the diner inside, with a chandelier creating an ambiance of delight. The staircase lobby boasts on its interiors incorporating painted butterflies and masquerades on the walls, combined with neon signage.
The centrally-located bar serving is the focal point of the entire structure. A cast-iron railing is forged against the tiled bar front, enhanced by foliage installations and pendant lights screened inside a cast-iron cage as the backdrop. An assortment of wooden counters works well with simple furniture configurations. Lounge-style furniture in the dining area with a patterned carpet and ornate wooden bookcase illustrate the look of a formal living room. The outer setup is connected through a metal staircase with a feature wall assimilating brass squares with icon cutouts and a chandelier on top.
A rustic wooden entrance leads to the inner areas, with a triple-height central courtyard, huge antique chandeliers, a glass roof, and vibrant interiors. A long community table made from driftwood with a casual seating area is positioned on the left. Velvet green sofas framed by cast-iron columns enclosed with curtains and railings separate the levels.
Wooden pergolas make a separate bar on the terrace, with an amphitheater imbibing a mystical aura by with lush greens and soft lighting. Pebble flooring and cabana seating add to the regal yet contemporary ambiance as well.
