New Delhi-based Design Ethics Architecture Studio has designed The Lounge at Essex Farms, where a 50-year-old dilapidated industrial shed was converted into a formal luxury lounge spread over 1000 sq. ft.

Classic European sophistication is enhanced with traditional taupe-colored wainscoting. An elaborate fireplace serves as a backdrop to the floorplan and seating clusters, dedicating an entire space to a formal buffet counter. The intricately-detailed fireplace is adorned with vintage handmade ceramic artwork.

The two areas are segregated by a row of pendant lights over a partition to create an inclusive environment. French panels are designed with multiple reflective surfaces, with art collections and frames on the walls. An exquisite console is reminiscent of a vintage European setup at the forefront. Lighting highlights the features without taking away attention from the industrial metal sections in the ceiling, lit up with wall lights and chandeliers.
