Low-maintenance office for Ahmedabad dye manufacturers
Ahmedabad-based architecture firm Adhwa Architecture designed the interiors of Evergreen Industries, where the challenge was to create something innovative through maintenance-free material. The firm used materials such as Jaisalmer stone and vitrified tiles to ensure hygiene in the office spaces and laboratories, as the administration sector was adjacent to the dyeing unit.
Clean lines remained an important part of the project throughout, and natural light was invited in through wall-length windows in every cabin, laboratory, and workspace. The firm did away with false ceilings and wall panels and instead went for an open conduit ceiling that proved to economical as well. The entire structure was intelligently designed with double-height workstations and sheltered cabins, not compromising with the accessibility between the upper and lower floors.
