Natural material palette for Mumbai residence

Principal Interior Designer: Ridhi Saraf

Mumbai-based Hipcouch has designed the Oberoi Exquisite, a 3BHK residential project spread over 1000 sq. ft. Natural light, greenery, art collection and private decks comprise the major design palette in the apartment, which overlooks the breathtaking views of the Aarey Forest. One is welcomed through the intricately-detailed wooden and rattan door against the lime-green wall in the foyer. Large windows bring in abundant light, introducing the visitor to the bright red sectional sofa, velvet upholstery and a mid-century wicker frame.

Moving to the dining table, the mother-of-pearl dining table is the focal point of the dining area with a crockery and bar setup clad in fluted glass. Curios from the clients’ travels sit atop the TV console and corridors, adding a personal touch. The master bedroom in vibrant yellow made it for relatable to the young couple. Behind the bed, a floor-to-ceiling gloss-finished wardrobe creates storage area with wall  paneling. Blush pink is chosen for the teenage daughters’ bedroom, with a custom-made rose bunk bed with ample space to learn and play. A study table and dresser on the opposite wall caters to the necessities of the growing children, also providing for storage.

Leaf-green and warm walnut comprise the mood board for the guest room, resembling a tranquil forest. Sage-colored wardrobes blend in with the wooden furniture, such as the louvers extending to the TV console. A curio rack and bookshelf sits above the window seat, brightened with natural light.
