New Delhi-based RMDK has designed The Good Suit Co. in Chandigarh, which was to reflect the brand’s ideology to deliver the finest suiting and shirting fabric with a blend of neoclassical opulence and sleek mid-century design.

The store has been divided into three different sections, featuring classically vaulted ceilings adorned with handmade paintings and exquisite chandeliers. The paneled walls and parquet floor, along with classically-designed cabinets in a royal shade of blue create a stunning visual, spatial and experiential harmony.

A blue, white and gold color palette has been inspired by the mid-century regal inclination towards blue, which becomes the central theme of the store. It is a blend of formality, balance, expansion, and fresh that create an elegant and welcoming space when combined with white. The strong tonal variation is softened with a neutral brown at certain points to create articulate spaces.

Sleek metal fixtures, oak wood tables, blue velvet upholstery, and well-planned lighting add a strong visual impact. The minimal yet luxurious entrance display window along the rear feature wall displays the formal menswear with crisp cuffs and collars.

Each lighting fixture is positioned to control the lighting spectrum and neutralize the blue. The furniture design further binds these interior elements while complementing the displayed products. Customers can enjoy an avant garde, lavish and warm retail experience in line with the brand’s philosophy and product range.
