No-wall spatial configuration for Bengaluru office

Bengaluru-based Int-Hab Architecture + Design Studio has designed the Intuitive Workspace, which was to represent a simple design that ensures a decluttered workspace and promotes seamless connectivity between the interiors and surrounding greenery.

An informal environment encouraging organic interaction, communication, and engagement, spread over 1,800 sq. ft., has an exposed ceiling and white walls while large windows with park views allow natural light in.

The open layout is spread over two floors and reinforces the firm’s design philosophy of ‘less is more’. A no-wall spatial configuration achieves maximum use of space and freedom of movement while primary walls visualized with glass partitions lend a sophisticated fluidity to the interiors and promote greater visual connectivity and accessibility while maintaining privacy. Clearly defined into three zones based on functionality, the first zone has the reception and conference area, the second zone has the studio workspace and the third is the cafeteria. A white and grey color palette maintains the informal look, while green elements break the monotony.

The reception area display unit is made of metal and pinewood, while customized workstations of metal and pinewood, make for a simple and spacious work area. The terrace features a cafeteria and breakout zone where team members can socialize while a suspended stairway between the office and terrace doubles as a display.
