Bengaluru-based architecture firm InForm Architects designed the Clubhouse at Vaishnavi Terraces, which comprises a limited material palette accented with bright colors. Spanning over a 20,000 s.ft area, the clubhouse is located on a triangular plot adjacent to the main apartment. Though the odd shape initially proved to be a constraint, the firm came up with intelligent solutions to introduce playful curves around the space.

A cheerful playfulness is retained in the form of large overhangs and deep recesses, which form multi-purpose enclosures across the clubhouse. Balconies at the intermediate levels amplify the space in a semi-outdoor manner, which then joins the façade to open up with a beautiful arrangement of windows. The transparency of these fenestrations is controlled with patterned perforation panels, which holds the diverse program elements together.

The building is installed with aluminum perforated panels that provide a canopy over the semi-open amphitheater and in front of the glazing. They not only ensure ideal light conditions, they unify the entire façade aesthetic as well. The amphitheater with a cantilevered underside presents a picturesque view of the surrounding residential complexes, which is a smooth composition of balconies, recessed surfaces, and inclined non-structural fins. The entire exterior is finished off with smoothened corners that reflect the fluidity of internal movement.

Speaking of the interiors, each section has been incorporated to enhance social interaction. Each level has been constructed with a purpose – the interiors welcome you in with a grand entrance lobby, a multi-purpose hall and an open staircase with a water feature. An exclusive gymnasium is a centerpiece on the first floor. The open-air amphitheater overlooks and pool, and shares the subsequent floors with the sports rooms. Part of the final terrace is designed for public access, complemented by spots of greenery.
