Vibrance for New Delhi penthouse

New Delhi-based Design Deconstruct has designed the Pamposh Penthouse, which is a penthouse spanning 9500 sq. ft. with a terrace. The client wanted a party pad, so the firm chose a design with Art Deco elements to keep it young and vibrant. Coves and drops are intelligently used to visually expand the ceiling’s height, which was also done to accommodate the air-conditioning and conduits. Steel accents on the entertainment lounge’s ceiling add visible detailing, and all the exposed surfaces are made of marble and semi-precious stone. High-quality velvet and leather are used for the furniture upholstery, and light fixtures are locally curated due to a tight deadline of two months.

The penthouse would be primarily used to host small gatherings of close family and friends over the weekend. The terrace has a swimming pool, an outdoor sitting area, an outdoor bar, a private spa and a lounge, which can entertain seven to eight people at a time. The project itself is accessed by a separate elevator, which takes one straight to the penthouse. An entrance lobby on the ground floor acts as a welcome area, and it leads the guest to the lift lobby that has access to the residential area – the entertainment and dining areas, kitchen and bedrooms.

The entertainment area is designed around watching television, along with an eight-seater dining table and a private lounge along three bedrooms – including the master bedroom. The internal staircase leads to the terrace.
