Bengaluru-based AJ Architects has designed The Fabric Wave, a villa that reflects the socio-cultural environment and the aspirations of the younger generation. The existing façade was to be renovated with a contemporary design with minimal changes to the existing structure.

The overlay façade was designed to block the direct rays of the sun on the west side. Made with tensile fabric, the firm designed a fluid wave pattern anchored to the RCC slab of the existing structure with minimal support. Existing windows were retained and exposed burnt bricks in the kitchen wall extension contrast with the façade.
