Chic minimalism for Gurugram flagship store

Gurugram-based Sync Design Studio has designed the MyPaperclip Flagship Store, which was to conceive an experiential flagship store to present products and opportunities of corporate clients in a minimalistic environment.

The brand identity echoes through a chic and minimalistic design language. The vibrant colors of the stationary products sit against the muted white, beige and grey furnishings and furniture. Exposed metal structure, staircase, and railing with locally-sourced solid wood pine flooring create a mindful experience. The flooring has been done in Indian Kadappa stone, with minimalistic furniture with laminate and wood lipping, and sleek metal frames as supporting members.

The 22 ft. x 16 ft. x 30 ft. site has a retail space on the ground floor and a design studio on the mezzanine level, connected by a mid-transition bridge that acts as a discussion and display area. From a 300 sq. ft. space, the levelled planning resulted in extracting 750 sq. ft. area spread across 2.5 levels. The double-height and visual interaction between the mid-mezzanine and retail add to the experience. A muted color palette, unusual proportions and design geometry give a young and friendly identity to the retail store.
