Chandigarh-based Ruby Signature has designed the Singh’s Residence in Chandigarh, which resonates a classic English countryside house. Spread over 10,000 sq. ft., the two-storey mansion is abundant with natural light and camouflages with the neutral colours.
The double-height space living room has two differently-sized windows on three walls overlooking the greens beyond. Horizontal-striped curtains visually make the room wider, while the sheer curtains function as a screen. Apart from the curtains, valances enhance the ceiling’s look. The dining room is draped with layered curtains and sheers, and framed windows enhance the French mouldings.
A neutral colour palette and quilted soft furnishings reiterates comfort in the bedroom, with ivory pastels, warm accent lighting and manicured flooring in the master bedroom. Traditional furniture, ceramic vases and lamps add to the neutral quilted foreground. For the son’s room, a modern design with fringing, quality, embroidery and laser cutting are included. Ceramic and brass elements with pots, lamps and vases add luxe to the room.
