Luxury design for New Delhi home
New Delhi-based And Studio has designed La Hermosa, which is a residential interior design project. The client wanted a home that reflected each family member’s personality with attention to detail, color schemes, and finish and lighting to create different moods. They wanted living spaces to be vibrant and energetic for socializing and entertaining, and calming resting spaces for reflection and relaxation.
The living room has a calming and peaceful ambiance with customized sage green print fabric paneling featuring an abstract tree and bird design. This complements the grey-brown furniture, off-white beige walls, and metal accents on the television unit. The bathroom has twin basins for him and her, with marble-finished sanitaryware, white marble walls, and flooring. The classic white and gold theme is created with golden sanitaryware and brass metal handles and details.
The informal lounge exudes relaxation and formality, with a customized curved bar unit in the corner. Customized print wallpaper features pop colors of teal and blush pink with grey accents for a warm and inviting ambiance. The formal dining area has beige-grey velvet fabric with blue piping detail, and the jaali on the right separates the staircase corridor and public areas.
The formal living area is all about luxury and style with a pebble-shaped center table in white marble, wall art, and customized beige and white embroidery on the cushions. The basement has a garden created with shadows of the foliage on the walls, with a triple-height chandelier cascading from the ceiling. The gymnasium has a neon ‘Never Give Up’ sign with neutral open-grain veneer wall paneling and fluted glass partitions that offer privacy and filtered light.
The basement is suited to the homeowner’s personality with dark grey PU wall paneling, coffee-brown leather Chesterfield couches, and mustard pop lounge chairs. The red fabric-clad pool table and bar area featured marble, a wooden coffered ceiling, a metal-clad fireplace in black marble, black metal and glass shelves, and acid-washed brick tiles complete with retro print art.
