Michelangelo marble flooring for Mumbai residence

Mumba-based IPIPL has designed Grover’s Residence, which shows experimentation and efficiency in its design. The client brief was to inculcate elegance, comfort and functionality in its design, material palette, furniture and lighting.

Michelangelo marble flooring and forest-green onyx welcome one into the entranceway, which is lit up by exquisite light fixtures. Mocha wallpaper and lacquered MDF panels in beige have been used in the living room, along with dark-timber stained veneer and leather-acrylic composite lighting fixtures. Wall frames installed in the dining room give it an elegant look, which leads the way to the inner quarters.

Sophisticated European accents have been used in the master bedroom with artistic furniture pieces. Charcoal-grey fabric and brass strip detailing are used for the TV panel while the beige wallpaper is combined with a russet polyester panel for the bed. A chestnut wood, bronze mirror unit and tangerine bed foot complete the design. A lavish walk-in closet with lacquered and mirrored sliding doors balance out the marble, while the bathroom uses taupe marble to display a contemporary Italian theme. A similar leather and brass trip detailing can be seen in the guest room, along with wooden flooring. A vibrant bluish-green colour scheme and big tiles make up the powder room, balancing the subdued palette of the apartment.
