New Delhi-based Design by Meta designed the Perenne Design in Mumbai, an open and inviting home décor retail store. Natural and impactful aesthetics are important to enable users to seek new ideas as the design intervention blends its interiors with its products. A colonial façade with arches is inspired by the yesteryear of Bombay. A purple lattice shell-cube complements river-washed stone flooring in an entrance patio. Visitors are welcomed with pops of the brand color.

Ample height is chosen for the retail store, which is visually extended with the use of one color. Chandeliers are suspended to create drama in the design, enhancing the beige and brown color palette focusing on the products. Set in wood, metal and leatherette, the display racks amplify the herringbone pattern of wooden flooring. The space acts as a consultation zone resembling a living room, where customers can discuss their choice of products divided into different sections: large showpieces, lamp and shades, dining room, and bedroom. The electrical panels are housed in the retail space, and the area is rebuilt to accommodate the panel.
