Visual appeal for Mumbai apartment

Photography: Prashant Bhat

Mumbai-based GA Design has designed the Aria Residence, which is a residential project spanning 3500 sq. ft. The client wanted a contemporary, elegant, and understated luxury home offering views of the Mumbai skyline. One is greeted by a grand entrance foyer with grey marble flooring and dark veneer paneling. The living area combines comfort and visual appeal with dark veneer.

Bedrooms are designed for relaxation and tranquillity. The master bedroom on the lower floor reflects the owner’s style with neutral and soft pastel colors, with deep marble wall cladding behind the bed and brightly colored single seating. The ensuite master bathroom is designed completely in marble-finished tiles with a freestyle mirror. The guest bedroom is a comfortable and inviting space with shades of beige, ash veneer, and grey flooring with golden accents on the ceiling.

One moves upstairs by the grey marble staircase, leading up to a large indoor air purifying plant at the entrance. Tinted mirrors with golden accents give the staircase a floating look, with natural light falling upon the polished surface. The family area accommodates various activities while fostering togetherness and relaxation, such as spending quality time with family, entertaining guests, or unwinding. A pastel green color with indoor plants and soft lighting creates a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere.

The upper guest bedroom is dressed in shades of blue, with playful elements such as wallpaper and a blue and white wardrobe. The ensuite bathroom uses pastel pink and terrazzo tiles with a large shower area, a wash basin counter, and a mirror framed in terrazzo with pastel pink mosaic. The son’s bedroom is rarely used with ample wardrobe space in ash veneer and beige, a full-length dressing mirror, bed back walls with marble fluting, and large windows bringing in natural lighting.

The ensuite bathroom is a black-and-white tiled space highlighting the basin and shower wall. The second son’s bedroom has a deep maroon bed backrest and grey veneer in a chevron pattern with black circular handles. The ensuite bathroom has blue distressed wooden tiles and black marble.
