Acoustic designs for Gurugram experience centre

New Delhi-based LTDF has designed the Coast-To-Coast Experience Centre and Office, which is a flagship experience centre for a veneer brand in Gurugram. Located in Grand Mall, the design studio spanning 3600 sq. ft. was to accommodate a wide range of architectural millwork and display doors. The front-end experience was to seamlessly merge into the design studio with workstations and meeting rooms. As the brand works with high-quality wood veneer with an in-house team that selects grains and textures, it was to provide a suitable setting for clients to choose products for their applications.

Devoid of walls, the space has veneer-clad doors placed at angles to form criss-cross patterns. They are fitted in metal structures and finished in metallic paint, contrasting with the warm veneer grain. Epoxy cement-like flooring lends a wash of grey, and the interior colour scheme is matched to highlight the wood. Display doors add life with their intricately-cut jaali patterns, and a bespoke modern chandelier is customised for the central walkway.

As clients enter, they see a display wall with veneer samples against a pastel blue background. Bespoke furniture and ergonomic chairs, and doors and wall panellings by Dru-Casa also display aesthetic sensibilities.

The studio accommodates workspaces for 15+ people while ensuring sound control for both private and spaces, such as the café wall creating a buffer zone using green and blue lights and natural plantations. Vinyl carpeting absorbs sound, and less reflective surfaces such as cubicle dividers ensure interrupted work.
