Raipur-based Azure Interiors designed the House, which was a residential project for a small family. As they were a family that entertained extended family and friends, they wanted an expansive living room to accommodate large gatherings. It was previously an old bungalow with a classical semi-circled living area, which was an interesting feature. The firm made major civil changes, but couldn’t disturb the round wall. This was done to bring in sunlight, along with maximising every space.

Clean neutral colours are chosen for the colour palette, along with golden and black accents in the living room, guest room and master bedroom. A small spacious drawing room is chosen for intimate gatherings with an opulent ambience. A partially open kitchen gives easy access that could be closed during intimate gatherings. As the family has two children who enjoy being around nature, they wanted a large garden for them to play in. Windows are incorporated in the curved duplex wall on the east to bring in the morning sunlight, and the 27-ft. wall is clad with stone and Italian marble for low-maintenance.

The warm and cosy drawing room has a mirror to visually expand the space, with walls panelled with marble and woodwork. The master bedroom has the television clad with veneer and Lady Grey Italian marble, along with veneer in the dressing area and raw silk wallpaper on the bed back. Maintaining a classic vintage ambience, the mother’s room has white walls, blue and mustard printed tiles and wooden and cane furniture. The parents’ room is earthy with a four-poster white wooden carved bed and cane day bed, mustard and blue printed flooring and jute wallpaper.
