Gurugram-based Essentia Environments has designed Magnolias, a residential project spread over 6500 sq. ft. The client wanted a bespoke home with extremely high expectations, while the firm wanted to work around cherished artwork or furniture collections. Therefore, customised furniture and artwork are created or commissioned by the firm. The 4BHK home was for a family of six: a couple, their two children and elderly parents. The layout also included an entrance foyer, living and dining spaces, kitchen, family lounge, powder room and attached bathrooms.

The entrance foyer is separated from the living areas through glass partitions, which maintains a seamless feeling. Vietnam white marble with brass inlay flooring is featured in the living areas, which match the patterns on the wall panelling. A column is clad with Nero Saint Laurent marble with brass accents, paired with customised furniture. The family lounge has a customised bar cabinet, where individual round and oval units come together to form a statement piece.

Moving on to the master bedroom, one sees a statement hanging light piece, bed with a tufted headboard and Sarita Handa furnishings. While the flooring features Bulgari Grey marble, the attached master bathroom has a wooden ceiling. The children’s rooms are done in clean lines and neutral colours, illuminated with Klove lighting fixtures.
