Biophilic design for Mumbai office
Mumbai-based design consultancy firm The Canvas Design has designed FCB Ulka workspace. Spread over 85,000 sq ft, the client brief was to create a visionary space for its employees.
The office features a contemporary biophilic design using a color palette throughout the space. Elements such as chai glass hanging lights and dabbawala tiffin lids with stone cladding highlight the local flavor of Mumbai. The nest seating area features paper handmade birds, adding a charm to the workplace. The office also has a well-designed cafeteria, open terrace, themed social hubs, and gym, cricket court that ensures employee well-being. Other architectural details include a planter ceiling and green turf flooring for extra charm.
All the cabins have glass partitions placed on the window façade with glazing to promote natural light. There is a cafeteria on the top floor, with an open terrace/party area, themed social hubs, sleeping hammock mesh, a swing, gymnasium, a cricket court, boxing kit, and pull-ups as well.
