Indigenous material palette for Alibaug renovation

Mumbai-based Designer’s Group has designed the Radisson Blue in Alibaug, as part of a renovation project. The firm blends in the green serenity of the location into the property with earthy tones in a spacious layout.

Surrounded by manicured landscapes over 16 acres, wooden laminated flooring maintain a warm and comfortable ambiance in a low-maintenance design. Blue is chosen for the lobby, which symbolizes the coastal waters further accentuated with water bodies and accessories made from blue cotton balls. A suitable indigenous design language is created using Indian stone, recycled wood, and cement fibreboards with emphasis on natural light and ventilation.

White walls make up the room with large mirrors that visually expand the space, and complementing furniture. A beige-colored headboard makes up the bright and tan color palette with a study area for working. The window is concealed with a tan-and-blue curtain, alongside a seating area to enjoy the natural beauty.
