Jungle theme for New Delhi home
New Delhi-based Studio Ivory has designed the Arushi House, an open-plan residential project for a small family. The client wanted a warm and welcoming space, which reflected their love for travel and the outdoors. Their nature-themed books required a separate space for reading and reflection, which was demarcated by a customised screen. An ‘Indian jungle safari theme’ is chosen for the home, as it ties together the colours and textures.
A warm copper and cream backdrop become the canvas for green highlights used across the living and private areas. Prints and accessories reflect distant lands and tropical countries, along with inviting in abundant daylight through the south glazing. The botanical theme expresses a relaxed and sophisticated atmosphere, which is inspired by the jungle.
