Medieval European and modern design for Delhi home

New Delhi-based Pramod Group has designed the Romanesque, a residential project that combines vintage and modern flair, spread over 310 sq. yds. It reminds one of the luxurious 11th Century Europe, with the comfort of today with warm tones, rich textures and layered detailing. Inspired by Italian art and homes of the medieval period, the firm has blended Indian architecture into the project.

The living room features vintage armchairs, sofas and a carpet in an open and welcoming layout. A classic chandelier, wall detailing, sculptures, lighting fixtures and artwork are framed by wooden ceilings and doors. A metal and wood shelf stands against the textured wallpaper, along with the adjoining dining room and TV lounge.

One of the four bedrooms has a four-poster bed with industrial lamps on either side, while the second has a modern look with a study corner. Stitched headboards offer comfort to users as they sit up and watch television, and the bathrooms are designed with stones and modern amenities. Natural light and energy-saving amenities such as VRV ARC and a water harvesting unit promote sustainability and luxury together.
