Raipur-based Azure Interiors has designed the Apartment, which is an apartment project spanning 2100 sq. ft. The client wanted a beautiful home with a contemporary edge, and the firm chose a classic Oriental design for the same. They created a comfortable space for a young family that obeyed the owners’ objectives and lifestyle while keeping it uncluttered.

As one enters the apartment, they find a small foyer with a beautiful artisan console and a mirror, connecting the living room and dining space with an attached balcony view. A small pooja room beside the dining room has sandwiched cane glass doors dividing the spaces. A door leading to the kitchen and utility takes them to the three bedrooms, a nursery, and a store room. The nursery is designed for the daughter and has a washroom and a bay window.

The client’s mother’s bedroom, washroom, and bay window follow the same. A store room and two other bedrooms lie at the other end of the corridor, which belongs to the client and his younger brother. The master bedroom consists of a dressing, washroom, and attached balcony.

The firm did not use a lot of ply or woodwork but kept the space minimal and elegant with soft furnishings and wall finishes. To add wardrobe space, the designers incorporated a portion of a balcony into one of the bedrooms.

Italian marble is used for flooring, and the balconies are embraced with clay tiles. The neutral color palette exudes earthiness, adding pastel tones through wallpapers, upholstery, and artwork. The natural shade of wood is used in a distressed manner for all the furniture pieces. Being highly bespoke in nature, art and greens plays its role in heightening the sense of luxury. Interiors use different types of plants that add color and grace to the space.
